Thank you to all who had attended this year's first annual Golden Girl Gala held on Sunday, May 1at the Delta Winnipeg.  We were so happy to see that not even a spring snow storm could keep all the Big and Little princesses away from their ball!

Lisa, a former Little Sister, shared with us at the event, “My Big Sister inspired me to strive for more and showed me that I could change the course of my life - like she did.” Your support makes the same outcome possible for young girls in the Big Sister program today; inspiring them and affecting positive change in so many aspects of their lives for tomorrow.

Thank you for helping us to raise $22,000 for our programs.Big Brothers Big Sisters of Winnipeg makes a difference in our community by providing children in need with one-to-one mentoring services that are proven to help kids stay in school, avoid risky behaviour such as bullying, and grow up to be more civic-minded adults. You make as difference by providing funding needed for our professional, trained staff to carefully screen volunteers and match them in long-term, safe mentoring relationships, while providing necessary ongoing management and support for the volunteers, children and families.

Together we are shaping the future of our community and the young girls who need our support.  You have made the first year for this event a huge success and we have already begun to plan for next year!
